What does the dentist use for dental fillings?
Composite fillings are mercury-free plastic material that matches the natural color of the tooth used to replace missing parts of a tooth. What happens if a dental filling is not obtained?
Tooth decay can only get worse over time. If you do not seek treatment, tooth decay can turn into a toothache and eventually may require further treatment or cause the loss of that tooth.
When decay reaches the nerve of the tooth, you may begin to experience extreme tooth sensitivity and pain. Eventually a tooth abscess may form and the tooth may fracture and may need to be extracted.
