What are flexible dentures?
A flexible denture is a removable gum-supported prosthesis that does not traumatize the remaining teeth like traditional ones made with metal clasps. The clasps are invisible, made of a chameleon-like, semi-transparent material that allows the color of the gums to show through. They do not have a palate!
In which cases can flexible dentures be used?
- As a permanent partial removable denture as an alternative to skeletal dentures with unsightly metal clasps;
- As removable dentures when traditional resin ones break frequently or are very heavy and bulky;
- In patients with metal allergies. Nylon dentures are metal-free;
- As a temporary prosthesis while waiting for a fixed one on natural teeth or on implants during the osseointegration period.

What materials are flexible dentures made of?
- Instead of the classic, particularly rigid acrylic resin, the base of the nylon denture is manufactured using a biocompatible thermoplastic material similar, if not identical, to the color of the gums.
- This material makes the denture hypoallergenic, flexible, and unbreakable.
- The teeth placed on the denture can be made of composite or resin.
Natural teeth remain untouched!
The flexible denture is attached to natural teeth without them being filed or capped. Therefore, no dental crowns or attachments are required. The teeth are left as they are.
