What is root canal retreatment and when is it necessary?
In cases where the previous root canal treatment is considered unsuccessful, the filling material inside the root canal of the teeth is removed and the canals are reshaped. This procedure is called root canal retreatment. If the pain in the tooth that required root canal treatment is still present and if there is still inflammation, canal renewal can be performed under favorable conditions. Root canal treatment can be performed again, and highly successful results can be achieved with canal renewal.
